January 21, 2013 :: New Feature Revealed

Greetings fellow #PKMN-Crossing members! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and that none of you are suffering from any icky sickness that may have gone around. We apologize for our lateness in the past month and a half or so; lots of personal life things going on for the moderators. But now we're all back and working on lots of things for the future! Lots of ideas for big events and stuff! Yup yup! Also a fresh, commentless blog for the new year finally.

A oddball bit of information: if you have not received a special item from one of the past events after participating (Snowball War, Secret Delibird, Toy Day, and New Years) please note the group so that we may give you your missing items! dA has been eating mass sent notes once again, the scaly wag! In order to receive your missing items from Toy Day and New Years, you will need to give us the link to your comment on the old Bulletin Blog to confirm that you asked for it. Now that that's settled, on to the news! First of all, before we get to announcing the new feature for the group and the winners of the December 2012 Contest Hall, we wanted to state that the mods have noticed that many members over the past few months have been having issues with dA chats. Now we certainly couldn't do anything about the problem since it is all dA's servers fault as of usually, but our mods have found a web socket plug-in that may just help solve those pesky chat drops! Our mods have been testing it for quite awhile and agree that is most likely helps in cutting down chat errors, kicks, and freezes. Next we will be announcing the winners of our December 2012 Contest Hall! It was our first ever Pet Contest, and while we did not receive many entries, they were great ones nonetheless! Lots of interesting pet antics done throughout the holidays. Presenting the top 3 winners below, they are...

Congratulations on the wins, you three! The entries really stood out and showed lots of great entertainment and emotional value in them. You will be receiving your prizes shortly. Our next Contest Hall will be hosted in February! While it's listed as unknown for now, well give you all a hint: it involves words.

Now... onto the news you all have been patiently waiting for...! Dramatic drumroll, please!! Over the past few days we've been adding little things and tidying up information on this new feature ahead of time before announcing it publicly. Some of you may have noticed it and already know what it is, some of you have a good inkling as to what this new feature may be... while it's great you're all so observant, the rest of the group members need to be alerted of it too. Wait for it...

#PKMN-Crossing will now be allowing SECOND CHARACTERS into the group! Yes! That's right! We figured everyone has been asking  for it for a long time and with how well things have been going, we are going to allow fresh new characters from current members into the group! Even we moderators are excited for this! We hope you all are too! Of course, you can't just make a second character and toss them in! No, they must be bought through the Town Improvement Fund blog, and have to go through the same requirements as your first resident applications. For more information on second characters, please read up on the FAQ blog! It's the most helpful in explaining what we hope to expect, and all new information is marked with a icon. You are free to ask any questions you may have there as well! We will do our best to reply ASAP.

December 24, 2012 :: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hello everyone! We hope you are all doing well and are having a lovely holiday season with your family and friends! It's always good to have company and enjoy the comfort of others. We just wanted to wish you all well and apologize for how slow things have been running as of late within the group itself. As you all know, our moderators have lives off the internet and can't always be on to watch or manage submissions during this busy season. After their vacations things will be running in tip top shape once again!

We also want to let you all know that we have quite the surprise coming your way in the new year! While we do not want to give away too much information, let's just state that it is something many of you members have been asking for over the past year, and the mods have come to an agreement that with how wonderful all of you members have been we will be granting this wish sometime in mid January 2013. There will be a few new rules added just to make things clear, but we trust that you all will be good about it! We hope you're excited for this new feature that will open up many new character opportunities. Another reminder is that Secret Delibird submissions are now being accepted! So please submit it to the group if you have it ready and set to go.

December 1, 2012 :: BACK IN BUSINESS FOR WINTER

Hello folks! It's been a about a month since we last declared #PKMN-Crossing's break time, and we hope that it has helped all of you as well! It's always nice to take a break now and then considering the issues and work that real life tosses our way. But now it's time to kick ourselves back into gear and have everything running normally once again! The holiday seasons are coming up so quickly! Certainly wasn't expecting time to just whizz on by! We hope everyone is doing well so far and that the weather is treating you nicely, no matter where you live.

A few of you may have noticed some small changes that have gone around visually throughout the group, but if not, that's alright! The tasks were mostly moving all of the original files that our founder had uploaded when the group was first made to ~TheTownHall account. Pokette Town's Map has been upgraded ever since that mole invasion back in October as well! Good job on all those repairs, residents! There are plenty of new berry trees and flowers to enjoy this winter season. But because of it's revamp, many of you residents our now homeless! You will need to comment on the Town Map deviation to claim a acre in which you would like to live in now! You can choose an old spot, or choose a new one. As long as you like where you're going, we don't care where you choose!
All that junky, hard to read text on the Calender blog is currently being revamped with a visual one, and the NPC's list has been simplified; less text clutter, more pictures! Yes, everything is being revamped slowly but surely: even our purging went rather smoothly and we are in the process of cleaning out the group galleries.
There are all sorts of little tidbits that will be added in the near future, so we will be sure to give you all the heads up when those changes take place... we're quite sure that a few of you members will be looking forward to these additions. It's thanks to everyone's suggestions that we have taken the time to make the group better for YOU: the members and watchers! Without all of your help, we most likely wouldn't be this far along, would we?

Members who have signed up for the Secret Delibird art exchange? Sign up's are closed, and we will now go through the process of pairing you up with your little Delibird whom you will be creating a gift for this month! This pairing process will take a day or 2 to complete, so please don't fret! All who have signed up are on our lists and we will get everything going for you all soon! Last but not least, since we took time off in November to work on a few things and relax overall, we did not announce the winners of the October 2012 Contest Hall... which we are going to do right now!
